Busting on Bigots
Nov. 16
I can just imagine a ten year old boy asking, "Mommy, how come all the books in the library say Notre Dame has a great football team, but all the newspapers say they lose every week?" Mommy says....
That's Notre Dame's karma in full effect. They thought that they were actually better people than everyone else. They believed that only the people who went to Notre Dame could live up to a high moral and athletic standard. They once had an up and coming African American coach, and this cocah was not given the opportunity to succed on the same level as the coaches before him. When Notre had a good football program, every new coach was given at least five years to allow their philosophy to take shape.
But rich Alumni, many who didn't support the idea of a Black head coach to begin with, only gave this gentleman 3 years to turn around a program that had not won a national championship since Dan Quayle was Vice President.
The boy thought for a moment, and said, "Well I don't think I'm better than anyone else. Let's hate em! And hope they never win another game, and fair minded parents of all races stop sending their children there."
Mommy laughed her ass off.
