Bracket This

                          March, 15, 2006

Here are my NCAA Tourney pix  -   I sighned up in ESPN's contest.  I'm going to separate them into regions and start with the sweet 16, because the number of teams you get into that round will determine if you have a chance to win your pool(s).   "Wish me luck Allison, the tournament is on."

                                   Sweet 16

Atlanta   Duke beats LSU, Texas beats West Virginia

Oakland  Pittsburgh beats Memphis , Gonzaga beats UCLA

Wash D.C.  UCONN beats Illinois, North Carolina beats Tennessee

Minnesota   Villanova beats Boston College, Ohio St. beats Oklahoma

                             Elite 8

Texas beats Duke, Gonzaga beats Pittsburgh

UCONN beats North Carolina, Ohio St beats Villanova

                             Final 4

Gonzaga beats Texas,  UCONN beats Ohio St

                              Championship Game

                   UCONN 81  -   Gonzaga 72

Good luck to anyone cool enough to fill out a bracket.

It Takes a LongHorn to Break A Trojan

     October 25, 2005

How committed to chaos do you have to be to think Texas is better than USC?  This must be the same guy who threw tenna shoes over the power lines in your hood. This is like making that left hand turn onto Sunset Blvd in rush hour traffic. This is the guy looking for his glasses after the roller coaster ride when you're finally next.

The good news is that this is our chance to ridicule the "Basically Selling Colleges" out of existence. We must ackowledge at every chance that the BCS is helping to destroy the country. It's a tangible example of a contradiction between what we say we are as a nation and what we do. Anyone who says different is just talking to be heard. Or they're spineless "I hate America nowadays" types.

It's sick that sportswriters could even think of acknowledging a system that creates a fake national championship game. Anyone that wouldn't rather talk about a #9 team being denied a chance to win a championship, versus a #3 team, must not really be a sports fan. That's what "The Amazing Race" is for.  Worse, writers actually have a chance to influence public opinion, and the ones who defend the "Busted Scripted Contest" are only interested in promoting themselves as an "outsider", and should be called out as such.

Make destroying the "Best Screwy Computer" game your new mission. It'll make you friends. You'll sound smarter. You'll get that raise (of self esteem) you've been angling for. It can be your portal to research KBR, Fox News(?!) and others who meritlessly profit behind your back.

Augusta Wind

  April 7, 2005

The Massas starts today and it looks like that Burk chick got her butt kicked.

The arcane body is back to accepting commercials and it appears everything is back to their sexist, racist ways.  Well, not back, of course, but decided.  They thought about it and decided, "No, bunk a ho. We're still pissed we can't call that bathroom attendent 'boy' anymore, no way we let some fish in our club."

The thing that makes me see how deep the Massas' contempt for women must be is in how easy it would be to accept women in the club. The pooh poohing argument about there being so many other issues for women to be fighting for, when they could just say, "OK, you're in," is so perfect and demeaning I can almost see why passive benefactors of sexism would go along with it.  What I can't grasp is why they think that the Massa's would ever want someone like them to be a member.

The five companies that I'm sure claim to value diversity and equality are ExxonMobil, Coca-Cola, Citigroup, IBM and SBC Communications. Somehow Hootie Johnson beat the rap.  If you can't avoid them, at least remind somebody who's all into the Massa's of how their Mama's getting played.

Give the Super Bowl Props

February 5, 2005

Awrite you degenerates. Here are my top four Super Bowl proposition bets and I'll put $100 on each one (for instance).  You can see all the offers at Pinnacle, a respected off shore betting company.

For the untouched, the betting works like this; where you see a minus sign, that is how much a person has to wager to win $100.  A plus sign represents how much you'll walk away with if you risk $100.

NFL Playoffs: Super Bowl Props

Patriots vs Eagles: 1st Half & Game winning Props

Sun 2/6:   First Half and Game Winner

Superbowl XXXIX

03:25 PM 310 Patriots 1st H/Patriots Game -150

311 Patriots 1st H/Eagles Game +1125

312 Eagles 1st H/Patriots Game +709

313 Eagles 1st H/Eagles Game +418

314 Tie 1st H/Patriots Game +1495

315 Tie 1st H/Eagles Game +2469     TR$$ play.  Both teams'll play it close to the vest and go into locker room tied at 10. And if the Eagles win I'll have more than enough to lose all my other bets. Saweet.

Patriots vs Eagles: MVP Props

Sun 2/6: Player to be named MVP of the Superbowl.

If two or more players tie, winnings split .

03:25 PM 600 Tom Brady +137

Donovan McNabb +454                  TR$$ pick.  I'm not dumb. My brain says the Patriots.  Since I want the Eagles I'll go for McNabb and the 454 (hike!)

Brian Westbrook +1418

Corey Dillon +460

Deion Branch +5000

Adam Vinatieri +5000

David Givens +5000

Terrell Owens +1660

Field +455              TR$$ pick.  Can you say Troy Brown?

Patriots vs Eagles: Score first and result prop

Sun 2/6 Team to score first and result

03:10 PM 259 Pats score first and win the Game -132

Pats score first and lose the Game +614              TR$$ pick. The Patriots always score first. I believe they'll start well, and that's when the temptation to get complacent will take over. The Steelers put up a lot of points in the 2nd half of the conference championship game.

Eagles score first and win the Game +391

Eagles score first and lose the Game +325

Pimpin in the Darkness

      January 22, 2005

Names (ding, ding dong. Ding ding ding dong. Ding dong).  I love names. I have that George Bush thing where you make up a nickname for everyone and some work and some don't and I just keep on naming, even after I've given a person something that works.

Now this brother one ups me cause A: He's pimpin.... I'm just an "Ambassador to the Macks" and B: This name generator he's created is a straight up spontaneous laugh. Don't forget to try your friends.
